On February 12 IVI exchanged a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Immunology and Immunological Diseases (IIID), part of Yonsei University’s College of Medicine. With this agreement, the two organizations are establishing a collaborative relationship in research and development of vaccines in order to help achieve the common goal of accelerating safe, effective, and affordable vaccines for people in developing countries and global health. The Yonsei University College of Medicine is affiliated with Yonsei University Severance Hospital, one of the largest general hospitals in Korea. IIID, which is currently led by Prof. Jeon-Soo Shin, conducts basic and clinical research, thereby contributing to the development of the immunology and vaccine field, and training research professionals specializing in infection, immunology, and immunological diseases.
