인류가 코로나19 사태를 겪으면서 백신 등 바이오의약품에 대한 중요성이 그 어느 때보다도 높아졌다. 첨단 의학이 발달한 현대사회에서도 코로나19 바이러스라는 신종 감염병에 속수무책으로 당하는 상황이었는데 이를 해결해 준 것이 백신이기 때문이다.
