“The Origins of The International Vaccine Institute – A Personal History,” a memoir written by Prof. Seung-Il Shin, has been published, shedding light on the remarkable journey that led to the birth of IVI.

Prof. Shin, who was behind the concept of IVI, played a pivotal role in IVI’s creation in the 1990s, serving as the Senior Health Advisor and Director of the IVI Project at the UNDP. In this memoir, he shares an insightful personal account of IVI’s background and history that chronicles the events of the early years of the Institute.
