The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) carried a story on the new global push to develop the world’s first vaccine against Strep A in the wake of Wellcome Trust’s US$2.25 million grant to IVI and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. – Ed.
For most people, Strep A only means sore tonsils, but severe cases can lead to sepsis, rheumatic fever and heart disease. Strep A is rare across much of Australia but it still has a devastating impact in remote Indigenous communities…..
