Dr. Jae Ouk Kim receives Health Minister’s Award for contributions to infectious disease education
December 8, 2023, SEOUL, Republic of Korea – Dr. Jae Ouk Kim, Senior Research Scientist of IVI’s Science Unit, received the Korean Minister of Health and Welfare’s Award for her contributions to infectious disease education.
Dr. Kim, with extensive experience and expertise in researching vaccines for highly virulent pathogens, establishing vaccine immunogenicity assays, and evaluating samples’ immunogenicity in vaccine clinical trials, has been responsible for providing training on vaccine development platforms and biorepositories at the Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing (GTH-B) courses hosted by MOHW and IVI’s annual International Vaccinology Course. She was also recognized for her outstanding contributions to the development of the GTH-B program, including participation in study visits to relevant training organizations overseas and proposal of innovative training activities to support the upcoming launch of the Global Bio Campus (GBC) in Korea and help build workforce capabilities in low- and middle-income countries.
