BIGH-IVI Collaborating Center

The BIGH-IVI Collaborating Center was established in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and is hosted by the Burkina Institute of Global Health (BIGH). The center is a joint initiative between IVI and BIGH, designed to develop and implement collaborative programs in the areas of capacity building, vaccine research and development, and vaccine introduction.

Located within the premises of BIGH, the Collaborating Center serves as a platform for cooperation on specific topics of mutual interest, supporting joint research activities, training initiatives, and institutional collaboration.

The center’s activities include:

• Development and implementation of collaborative projects
• Development and submission of joint proposals for research and/or capacity-building programs
• Secondment and exchange of staff members
• Exchange of academic, educational, scientific, and scholarly materials

Through these activities, the Collaborating Center serves as a platform for strengthening research capacity in Africa and advancing long-term partnerships in support of vaccine research, capacity building, and public health development.
