Leadership Team

In-Kyu Yoon, M.D., is the Deputy Director General of the International Vaccine Institute (IVI)’s Integrated Development and Pandemic/Outbreak Readiness (IDPR) unit, where he leads the strategic coordination of innovation, new initiatives, partnership development, and capacity strengthening to support IVI’s institutional priorities and Strategic Plan.
Dr. Yoon brings over 25 years of experience in vaccine research and development, epidemic preparedness, and global scientific leadership. He has led and coordinated scientific strategy and partnership initiatives across international institutions, including his previous roles at IVI as Deputy Director General of Science, Director of the Dengue Vaccine Initiative, and Senior Scientific Advisor, as well as senior research and development leadership positions at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and in the U.S. Armed Forces Research Institute for Medical Sciences (AFRIMS).
Dr. Yoon completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University and received his M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine.
