IVI and Argentina

Official Relations

In December 2020, the Ministry of Health of Argentina communicated Argentina’s intention to become an IVI member State. In January 2021, the IVI Board of Trustees voted to approve Argentina as an IVI member state.

Argentina has not yet deposited an instrument of accession to the IVI Establishment Agreement with the United Nations Treaty Office.

Argentine Leadership at IVI

Since 2023, Carla Vizzotti, M.D., the former Minister of Health of Argentina, has served as an advisor on the IVI Global Advisory Group of Experts.
