COURSE OVERVIEW
The focus of this course is to develop an understanding of the vaccine adverse events information monitoring system (VAEIMS) and medical coding of vaccine adverse events in countries in the WHO Western Pacific Region.
This three-day course is tailored for representatives of national Expanded Programmes on Immunization and national Pharmacovigilance, but is also suitable for representatives of AEFI data managing and analysis. Participants are invited to share their experiences of challenges using the system and to present their own case studies (e.g., sample AEFI form), and are expected to actively contribute to discussions in English based upon their personal experience in the vaccine adverse events monitoring field.
