We are seeking a Research Scientist (GCP Training Facilitator) for a 2-year regular position (renewable) to work within the Clinical Development Department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea.
Job Description:
This job is responsible to significantly contribute to respond to the IVI training program for capacity building for vaccine developers and low- and middle-income countries in professional collaboration with various departments and programs within International Vaccine Institute and external partners. The scope of work may involve intensive work in developing training materials and conducting training program, a broad range of interactions and activities with manufacturing and/or vaccine development partners.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop training modules and materials, conduct training and evaluate the trainees for the expertise area of IVI’s K Vaccine Training Program.
- Lead development of curriculum and material based on standard methodology confirmed within IVI in coordination with other relevant stakeholders.
- Guide K Vaccine Training Program trainees to help trainees reach the targeted goals.
- Participate in whole training program and roadmap development.
- Support and Motivate trainees to actively participate in all aspects of the training process.
- Report and maintain required communications with the funder on area of training responsible for.
- Provide consultation and advise to potential industry partners.
- Participate in consultation activities for the selected industry partners through the K Vaccine Program, by providing expertise knowledge, experience, and advice.
- Seek proactively opportunities to support industry partners which need expert advice and contribute to the global health.

- Provide support to unit (or department). Assist the DDG of CARE to:
– Review new requests and assess their interest for IVI and potential impact for global health in particular in low- and middle-income countries, national and international collaboration strategies, design concept notes, and create analysis tools of new requests.
– Participate in joint calls and provide scientific input on meeting agendas and research proposals
– Gather all information in the field including published or unpublished data for the analysis of and for the response to the requests and their development.
– Support writing reports, grant proposals, and manuscripts and develop presentations as necessary.
– Build networks with internal/external scientists and stakeholders and actively pursue new funding opportunities
– Develop innovative ideas on global health research and new partnerships

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education Requirements
- MBBS/MD/PhD (Vaccine Research, Public Health)
- Related Field Work Experience
- MBBS / M.D. or Ph.D. and 5+ years
- Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge
- Vaccinology diploma, experience in vaccine development, public health vaccination programs
- Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); Korean as an asset given the growing interactions with Korean partners
