Save The Date – IVI’s 18TH International Vaccinology Course

2018-04-20 08:29

We are pleased to announce the schedule for IVI’s 18th International Vaccinology Course. One of the longest running vaccinology courses in the Asia-Pacific region, this annual training course helps fulfill our mission of making vaccines available for global health by building capacity in vaccinology and promoting vaccine sustainability in developing countries. Over 18 years, the course has trained more than 1,200 vaccine professionals from low- and middle-income countries worldwide, and has fostered collaborative partnerships in research and public health.

The five-day course provides a comprehensive overview of vaccinology ranging from applied topics in discovery to development to delivery. The course is a combination of lectures and interactive case studies presented and facilitated by experts from academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations.  Previous lecturers have included those from the World Health Organization, U.S. National Institutes of Health, GSK, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Johns Hopkins University, Seoul National University, and IVI.

IVI grants fellowships to people from low- and middle-income countries otherwise unable to attend the course. A select number of fellowships are competitively awarded to individuals with financial need, leadership potential, and who have made contributions to public health in their country.

Important Deadlines:

  • The registration page will be open on April 23, 2018.

  • Fellowship applications must be received by May 31, 2018 11:59 PM Korea Standard Time
