Expatriates and Korean citizens will join forces for a great cause ahead of Chuseok (Thanksgiving) holiday. They will assemble at Hyundai Department Store´s main store in Apgujeong in southern Seoul to hold a charity bazaar for the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), a Seoul-based international organization. The event will run from 11 am to 4 pm at the "Sky Park" on the sixth floor of the store.
The bazaar, dubbed "the Charity Market to Help Save the World´s Children," will be attended by IVI Director General Dr. John Clemens and fashion designer Andre Kim, an IVI Goodwill Ambassador, among other dignitaries. The event will feature many fun events, including a fashion tip corner, face painting by makeup artists, a magic show, and an organic food mart.
The event, with the theme "Family and Festival," will be organized by a group of volunteers, including college students, office workers, and IVI´s Korean and foreign staff. The bazaar is sponsored by Hyundai Department Store, as well as many other corporate sponsors, organizations and individuals. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the IVI for its vaccine research.
The IVI´s the first international organization hosted by Korea, and is the world´s only international organization devoted exclusively to research and development of new vaccines for the world´s poorest children.
