Feature video showcases International Advanced Course on Vaccinology in the Asia Pacific Region
IVI presents a new feature video on the “IVI International Advanced Course on Vaccinology in the Asia-Pacific Region. This 2-minute presentation offers a general overview and dynamic snapshots of IVI’s flagship course on vaccinology designed to boost developing country capacity in immunization and vaccine science. The video also includes interviews with participants and faculty members at the 2013 course.
Participants’ voices (excerpts)
Dr. Ethith Ogalo (Kenya): I am working at a government hospital. Whatever knowledge I get here is going to be very practical.
Dr. Karin Hardt (Faculty, Belgium): We are actually able to reach out to the whole world of vaccine. You have the NGOs, manufacturers, research organizations, and physicians…. I guess the only persons that we are missing are the patients.
Dr. Pardeep Khanna (India): It has been wonderful interaction, with some of the people from different countries outside of my office.
Christian Loucq (IVI Director-General): The course of vaccinology is a very important role of IVI. Creating volcanologists…training people and better understanding vaccines. We look for people with various aspects of specialty. I think this is one of important roles of IVI and this course.
