Dr. Manki Song, Acting Deputy Director General of Science, Dr. Jae Seung Yang, Senior Scientist, and Ms. Eun Young Lee, Researcher at IVI, and others’ manuscript “Immunogenicity of a bivalent killed thimerosal-free oral cholera vaccine, Euvichol, in an animal model” published in Clinical Experimental Vaccine Research (July 31, 2018) has been recommended by Faculty of 1000 Biology and ‘Hanbitsa’ (People Advancing Korea). Hanbitsa is a research and biological scientists’ information service provided by the Biological Research Information Center (BRIC), Korea’s top bioscience portal. The study demonstrated, in an animal model, that thiomersal-free Euvichol® could provide comparable immunogenicity to the already WHO-prequalified Euvichol® containing thimerosal.
