H.E. Michael Danagher visits IVI to discuss COVID-19 vaccine development

Ambassador Michael Danagher from the Canadian Embassy in Korea speaks to IVI about global collaboration for COVID-19 vaccine development.
August 3, 2020, SEOUL, South Korea – The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) welcomed His Excellency Michael Danagher, Ambassador of Canada to the Koreas, to IVI headquarters today to discuss developments in COVID-19 vaccine research as well as ongoing efforts to sustain programs for long-existing endemic diseases.

The delegation from the Canadian Embassy included Ms Alina Kwan, Second Secretary (Political and Economic Affairs), and Mr Paul Choi, Trade Commissioner. Following a general introduction to IVI by Dr Jerome Kim, Director General of IVI, the leadership team provided more in-depth insight into IVI’s major clinical and epidemiological projects across Africa and Asia.
