The Yang-Hyun Foundation donated 50 million won to the IVI as IVI¡¯s ¡°Giving Partner¡±, for the second year in a row, during a ceremony at IVI headquarters on August 8.
Attending the ceremony were the Foundation¡¯s Chairperson, Ms. Choi Eun-young, and auditor, Mr. Park Hyung-keun, as well as IVI Director-General, Dr. John Clemens, and Ms. Joy Sohn, Head of Fundraising of the Institute.
The Foundation was appointed as the first IVI Giving Partner when it donated 50 million won in August 2008. A Giving Partner is a donor that contributes US$50,000 (50 million won) or more per year to the IVI to support the Institute¡¯s global humanitarian efforts.
Yang-Hyun Foundation is a private Korean philanthropy, which was founded in 2006 with a financial contribution from the late Cho Su-Ho, Chairman of Hanjin Shipping, a leading shipping company. Over the past years, the Foundation has focused its charitable giving on supporting medical care for underprivileged children. |
